Welcoming 2015

11:20 AM

Time does fly so fast. It's like i just write about my resolution for 2014 and now i need to write something for 2015. and Hello 25 years old.
Tomorrow is a new year, and today is the last day from the 2014. Have you reflect? What have you done the whole year? People busy making resolution for next year to becoming a better self, but sometime we forget to reflect from the past. Well, i think our past could make us a better self too.
How many resolution you made last year really really work on? Me? I think it was only couples of it hahaha.
Reflecting what we've done so far could impact what we should do more in the next year. Reminiscing the conversation with everyone you've ever had, remembering places you've been visiting, or learning from the mistake(s) you've made. Because when we're busy making resolution but forget to reflecting the whole past year, we won't learn anything.
Let's rewind what i did in the past year, shall we :)
  • I made simple DIY for my self and some parties. It makes me feel good about myself when they said thank you for the party.( so more DIY gift resolution)
  • Went abroad at least once and traveling in place i love and new place. I'm so gonna do another traveling in the next year.
  • I dont think i read many books this year, so yes i should read more and make a review about it.
  • Too many food this year, and too many pricey food also. I need to save more and exercise more also (another resolutions!)
  • I spent so many times with my friends and family and that's a good thing (gonna keep it for next year)
  • My friends are married and starting a new life, that's what i need to look for in the next year (hopefully)
  • I wrote about them on their birthday, hopefully i will give some birthday-mail too (resolution!)
  • I lost my phone (it was only a month old), so i need to give extra care for my things and not doing anything in a hurry.
  • I'm becoming this grumpier gals lately, i really need to slow things down and not easily freaked out when things didn't go as i planned. (deeply sorry for those i "silent-treatment"ed).
  • I learned to let go and walk away from something or someone that giving me a bad vibes or i know it won't work for both ways.
That was pretty much i did in the past year, and one thing i love i blogged more so i wont lost track about what happened in my life. So, what's you've done the past year?
Oh i hope you have a very wonderful new year's eve for those who celebrate. Let's rock this 2015, woohoo!!!

TooTooMoo Patisserie

8:54 AM

Whoaa whoaa three post(s) in one day? guess someone has free time because the boss and the lead are not in the building (ha!). It's holiday guys, dont judge.

So, when i was in Surabaya Iena ask me to go to this place with some friends from high school. TooTooMoo Patisserie is in Jl Imam Bonjol, it's beside the Consulate of Netherlands. But it's bit tricky to find the place, when you already pass The Parlour, you need to drive slowly and look on your left (if you drive from jl. Dr. Soetomo). Still confused? you need to see this map.

It's cute little place and they have cute mural on the wall. The cake taste really good but a bit pricey because i tho it's homemade it should be not as pricey as in the mall. You should try their tea, i pick white ginger lily (i choose because it's sound pretty, off course).

It's good news for Surabaya's people for having these cute pastry parlour like this.

A Beautiful Mess: Happy Handmade Home

8:18 AM

My dream book has arrived like couple months a go and i love everything in it. From my favorite duo sisters slash blogger Elsie and Emma from A Beautiful Mess, which i read every morning since i was in my second year college. Unfortunately they dont sell the book in my country, so i need to buy it from Barnes and Nobles and it takes a month until it arrived to me (and hello for pricey international delivery).

You need this book if you want to make DIY for everything in your house. They have tips for small and easy things, for party, for kids, easy recipes, and even for the advance DIY-ers. With their specialty, yes good pictures and cool friends. How could bunch of cool people in one frame and have really cool backyard party (sigh).

I want to buy the first book, A Beautiful Mess Photo Idea Book. Hopefully next year :D

De Mandailing Cafe

8:13 AM

Juned told me about this place and we decided to go there for friends-gathering with Dimas too. It's been a year i guess we had this quality time like this. I know they'll bullied and laugh at me, but i bear with them this time :| .

De Mandailing Cafe placed at Klampis, near Ayam Goreng Pemuda. It's small cafe but when you enter the cafe you know the place is hype. Mostly the customers are college student because they bring their laptop and books for study ( I never do this, how could you study inside a cafe? dont you will talk to each other instead?). You must order their XL Pancake, it's sooo good. Love it so much!

Recipes

No Baked Chocolate Oatmeal

3:02 PM

Still on my holiday, but unfortunatelly today is the last day :(.
This is a quick post about chocolate recipes, i'm not sure this one called as a recipes, because it's too easy and only have 2 ingredients, instant oatmeal and chocolate.
I usually made this at home because one, it's easy and two, it's super easy and yummy. You could replace the oatmeal with cereal or raisin if you like (i dont like raisins, period!).

Oatmeal Chocolate
(Make approx : a dozen)

Ingredient:
- Half pack of Instant Oatmeal
- 1 box compound chocolate

How To :
1. Melt the chocolate using this tips.
2. After the chocolate melting perfectly, pour the oatmeal into the chocolate
3. Mix them together until everything blend
4. Put the mix onto wax paper or if you dont have wax paper you could use ice mold.
5. Wait until chocolate become chocolate solid (dont put it inside refrigerator).
6. Remove it from the plate and put into your favorite cookie jar
7. or you can save it for later in refrigerator.
8. Done

It's super easy hahaha, sometimes i replace oatmeal with cookies crumble or cereal.

Happy Making, and happy holiday!

DIY

Emoticon Balloon

7:44 AM

Masih sekitar party Suci+Yoyon+Rieki thingy. There's a emoji balloon too! Yay for emoticon party!

Emoticon Balloon

Bahan
- Balon foil warna kuning (bought here)
- Double Tape

How To
1. Isi balon dengan helium (agak susah cari abang-abang balon helium --")

Happy Making!
