Hong Kong Trip : The Big Budha + Avenue Of Stars

10:43 AM

Just got home from 6 days holiday with Suci and Mocin from Hong Kong. So i'm still in holiday jet lag, i need day off for sure (kidding to my boss). It was fun really, lots of walk, and freezing.

The night before the flight to HK, Jakarta was poured by the non-stop rain. We got a little changing plan and decided (Mocin and I) to stay at the airport. It was my first time sleeping on the bench at the airport. How was it? Backache and super cold, hahaha. Oh and there was these freaking annoying bunch of kids who ran around in the middle of the night. Like seriously, everyone was sleeping and their parent just didnt care.

We took first flight with China Air. The flight was fine. I slept the whole 3 hours and watched This Is Where I Leave You.
After arrived at HK, we bought Octopus card for pay buses and MTR. First destination was The Big Budha which in the same island with the airport. We took bus number S1 to City Gate and then took bus number 23 to The Big Budha. The view is really great, but if you have road-sick (like us) you may want to try the cable car.
Here's pictures from The Big Budha. We need to took the stairs to reach the big Budha. It felt so hard because we carry our big bag in front and back our body.

Because we dont want get the road-sick like the previous one, we took cable car from The Big Budha to City Gate. Love the view!

After that we went to our hostel in Tsim Tsa Sui. This place is famous for cheap hostel and hotel. You could take MTR to Tsim Tsa Sui station. But be careful because sometime the pictures isnt the same with the reality. Thank God our room has window and it has pretty view.
After put the bag in the room we walked to Promenade and Avenue of Stars. The light from buildings across the island is very very breathtaking. Oh and dont forget to try Korean Squid snack ($30) in Avenue of Stars, yumm!
