The Book of Life

The craaaazy schedule from office just makes me nuts, no more browsing pinterest in my spare time. But, i recently i love playing this movie while i'm doing 'the DIY' in my room. The Book of Life produced by Guillermo del Toro, the Mexican man. That's why this movie has Mexican flavor everywhere. The story about Day of The Dead which similar with Halloween in USA. I LOVE LA MUERTE or anything from The Land of The Remembered. They looks festive and cool. They make skull looks pretty, like seriously pretty. Here's the synopsis i quoted from Wikipedia.

In the Mexican town of San Angel, Manolo (Diego Luna), Maria (Zoë Saldana) and Joaquin (Channing Tatum) have been friends ever since childhood. Although their lives have taken different paths -- Maria was sent to Europe, Joaquin joined the military, and Manolo studied to become a bullfighter -- one thing remains the same: Manolo and Joaquin both want to marry Maria. Little does the trio know that battling husband-and-wife deities have made a high-stakes wager on the love triangle's outcome.

Love the story and the songs. Did i say that i love La Muerte? She's just so colorful with drawn face and big hat and flower petals flinch whenever she moves. Second favorite off course everyone in The Land of the remembered, it's like everyday is a festival!

It's good to see something different kind of animation movie. They all are wooden figure, it's not too pretty but that's the cool thing.

Love,
Szasa
